Strong crowds expected at The Yacht Sales Co. NZ Open Day

The Yacht Sales Co. is enjoying strong registrations for its inaugural New Zealand Open Day on Saturday 27 September in Auckland.

Held from 10am – 4pm in conjunction with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s (RNZYS) 154th Opening Day celebrations, the free event will give guests the opportunity to step aboard a selection of premium pre-owned yachts and take part in an information-packed schedule of expert presentations covering sailing tips, yacht ownership and the cruising lifestyle.

The company will be showcasing a range of premium pre-owned yachts for sale, including a Fountaine Pajot Elba 45, Dufour 470 and Moody DS 45, and The Yacht Sales Co. team will be on hand to assist with all enquiries on buying or selling a yacht.

The Open Day program will also feature a schedule of free informative sessions led by industry specialists. North Sails will present on sail care, maintenance and cruising sail options; Island Cruising will share tips and stories from voyages across the South Pacific; The Yacht Sales Co. team will provide guidance on preparing a yacht for sale; and Maritime NZ will explain how to obtain an International Voyage Certificate for New Zealand pleasure craft.

The event is being staged alongside the RNZYS’s Opening Day traditions, including the midday cannon firing to officially mark the start of the sailing season, followed by a spectacular boat parade along the waterfront.

The Yacht Sales Co. NZ Senior Sales Consultant Bryn Jensen said the Open Day provides an excellent opportunity for current and aspiring yacht owners to connect with leading experts, explore outstanding yachts and be part of one of the Squadron’s most anticipated annual celebrations.

“We are excited to welcome new and familiar faces to this special event, and providing support for clients on all aspects of their yachting journey,” Bryn said.

Registration for the event is now open at https://yachtsalesco.com/boat-shows-events/2025-nz-open-day.
