The first Riviera 4300 Sports Express reaches Auckland, giving Kiwi boaties a close look at Riviera’s newest sports sedan.
The first Riviera 4300 Sports Express has made landfall in Auckland, marking the model’s New Zealand debut after a steady lead-in from R Marine Flagship, the country’s exclusive Riviera dealer. Through November the dealership tracked the boat’s progress from countdown, to unloading, to final commissioning before opening the doors for viewings in late November.
With the first example now on the hard and unwrapped, local boaties can take their first proper look at a model that fills an important space in Riviera’s sports sedan range.
The 4300 Sports Express bridges the gap between Riviera’s 395 and 445, pairing the familiar proportions of those boats with updated engineering and a fresh hull. The model leans heavily into single level living, something many Kiwi owners value for day trips, harbour cruising and relaxed overnighters.
The cockpit and saloon share one flat plane, making movement between spaces easy while boating with family or guests. Wide side decks and the aft galley support the way Kiwis tend to use their boats, keeping most activity centred around the cockpit.
Below deck, the twin cabin layout offers more flexibility than the exterior size suggests. The forward island berth gives the primary sleeping space, while the full beam mid-cabin provides a wide berth and enough headroom at the entry for adults to move comfortably. Hull windows lift natural light across both cabins.
The saloon carries Riviera’s familiar wraparound glazing, improving sightlines at the helm and giving the interior an open, connected feel.
Propulsion comes via Volvo Penta IPS, long established in New Zealand for smooth running, efficient cruise speeds and simple low-speed manoeuvring.
With commissioning complete, R Marine Flagship now has the first 4300 Sports Express ready for local viewing as summer approaches.
