CTEK NXT Series battery chargers arrive in New Zealand

Two practical chargers for boat owners who want straightforward battery care that suits real boating.

KEYPOINTS
  • Two new 12V chargers built for today’s lead acid and lithium batteries

  • NXT 5 suits smaller systems, NXT 15 suits larger banks and quicker turnaround

  • Simple to use, well protected, and aimed at harsh marine use

CTEK has added two chargers to its range, the NXT 5 and NXT 15. They sit between the CS ONE and the long running MXS models. The brief is clear. Modern charging for common 12V battery types, without fiddly setup.

For most boaties, the pattern is familiar. Batteries sit through the week, or longer. Then they get hit hard on launch day. The NXT Series is built around that rhythm, with automatic charging and safety protections designed to make shore power sessions simple.

NXT 5 for everyday boat and trailer setups

The NXT 5 is aimed at typical trailer boat and small house systems. It covers 12V lead acid and lithium batteries and supports a wide range of capacities.

A key feature is the desulphation and reconditioning modes, intended to help recover batteries that have been left flat. The display keeps things easy to follow. Clip it on, select the right mode, and let it run.

CTEK has included spark free operation and reverse polarity protection. Temperature compensation helps it charge properly in cold sheds and summer heat.

NXT 15 for bigger banks and faster charging

The NXT 15 lifts output to 15 amps. That suits larger house banks, multiple batteries, or boats that need a quicker top up between trips. It supports AGM and lithium iron phosphate batteries.

It adds Supply Mode, providing a constant 13.6V output. That can help during electrical work, when you want stable voltage while batteries are disconnected. It also includes a reconditioning function for tired batteries.
