Aquila debuts its first sailing catamaran with the all new Aquila 50 Sail at Miami

Written by

Aquila is set to enter the sailing market for the first time with the world debut of the Aquila 50 Sail Catamaran at the Miami International Boat Show. Arriving in February 2026, the 50 Sail marks a significant milestone for the brand, bringing Aquila’s proven approach to space, comfort, and usability into a purpose designed sailing platform.

The Aquila 50 Sail has been developed for long range cruising and liveaboard use, with a design that prioritises practical flow and everyday comfort. A distinctive fixed bow creates a stable forward entertaining area, while bridge to bow access allows easy movement from the flybridge to the foredeck. Inside, panoramic windows flood the saloon and galley with natural light, turning the interior into a true command centre for passagemaking or relaxed coastal cruising.

Owners can choose from four, five, or six cabin layouts, each with private access to maintain personal space onboard. Propulsion options include conventional diesel saildrives or Aquila’s whisper quiet Hybrid Ocean Drive™, offering flexibility to suit different cruising styles and destinations.

Designed for both private ownership and charter operation, the Aquila 50 Sail combines generous interior volume with sailing performance and systems designed for extended time aboard. It delivers the quality and cruising confidence Aquila is known for, now powered by wind.
