Grand Banks 62 defines Grand Banks’ modern performance cruising direction

The Grand Banks 62 is now firmly established as a core model within the modern Grand Banks fleet, refining the brand’s performance cruising philosophy with a clear focus on real world use.

Designed under the leadership of CEO and chief designer Mark Richards, the GB62 sits comfortably between the Grand Banks 60 and the larger models in the range, offering a balance of speed, efficiency, and genuine long distance capability that reflects how owners actually cruise.

Depending on engine selection, the Grand Banks 62 delivers a top speed of around 30 knots and a high cruise speed of 27 knots. At displacement speeds, the yacht offers a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots with reserve, while at 20 knots fuel burn averages around 38 gallons per hour. The emphasis is on delivering smooth, efficient performance that remains consistent and usable across the entire speed range.

That efficiency comes from the brand’s proprietary V Warp Technology hull, which maintains a steady running attitude of around six degrees. The hull form, construction materials, and infusion process are treated as a complete system, not separate elements, producing a strong, stiff structure fused directly to the carbon fibre deck, bulkheads, and superstructure.

Below deck, the additional length over the Grand Banks 60 allows for a well balanced three stateroom, three head layout. The amidships master stateroom is designed for extended time aboard, while the enlarged starboard guest cabin and forward VIP provide flexibility for family or cruising companions. Natural light, airflow, and clear sightlines remain a priority throughout the main deck.

Multiple interior layouts are available, including a popular Skylounge option, and Grand Banks continues to work closely with owners on specification. The result is a yacht that reflects not just performance intent, but how modern cruising yachts are actually used.
