Saffier SE 28 Leopard

The world premiere of the Saffier SE 28 Leopard takes place at boot Düsseldorf this January, offering a fresh take on the modern European daysailer.

Running from 17 to 25 January 2026, boot Düsseldorf again fills its vast halls with more than 1,500 exhibitors and a truly global audience. For sailors, it remains the place to see new ideas before they spread further afield.

Saffier Yachts will use the show to unveil the SE 28 Leopard to the public for the first time, alongside its four established models: Saffier SE 24 Lite, Saffier SE 33 Life, Saffier SC 8m Cabin, Saffier SC 6.5 Cruise.

While Saffier is well known for refined, performance focused daysailers, the SE 28 Leopard marks a clear evolution.

At 8.4 metres hull length, stretching to 9.2 metres with bowsprit, the Leopard features an all new hull shape designed to deliver more pace both upwind and downwind. A wide beam and flat underwater sections promise stability and control, without dulling the lively feel that defines the brand.

What sets the SE 28 Leopard apart is flexibility. Owners can choose electric or diesel propulsion, tiller or twin wheels, and tailor the foredeck with options ranging from solar charging to a flush Esthec finish. The result is a boat that can be set up for relaxed coastal sailing or sharper performance days.

Despite its speed focus, practicality remains front and centre. The lightweight vacuum infused fibreglass structure keeps displacement to around 2,200kg, making the Leopard trailerable and easy to launch. Below, simple accommodation offers four berths for short coastal escapes.

For sailors who value clean design and hands on sailing, this world premiere will be worth a closer look.
