Purpose built for life on the water and beyond, Garmin has announced the new JL Audio AP Amplifier range, delivering powerful, clear audio in an ultracompact and highly resilient design. Engineered for boats, off road vehicles and power sports applications, the new series is designed to keep music playing loud and clean in demanding environments.
The JL Audio AP Amplifiers use an efficient Class D architecture to deliver higher output with lower battery drain than traditional Class AB designs. This makes them well suited to modern boats carrying multiple electronics, while still providing the punch and clarity expected from a premium audio system.
Boaters and adventure seekers can choose from four amplifier options to suit their setup. A 200 watt RMS four channel model includes Bluetooth technology and an AUX input for direct audio streaming from a compatible smartphone. A 300 watt RMS monoblock is designed to drive a single subwoofer for systems that need more low end. A 300 watt RMS four channel model powers four pairs of speakers or two pairs plus a subwoofer, while the flagship 600 watt RMS six channel amplifier uses staggered power to run up to six pairs of speakers or four speakers and a subwoofer.
Three models feature Easy Tune technology, offering digital setup, speaker protection and audio optimisation. Physical controls are accessed via an integrated top panel LCD display, allowing simple manual adjustment onboard.
“Make any boat or off road vehicle’s audio system the life of the party with our new JL Audio AP Amplifiers that allow you to play your favourite songs loud and clear,” said Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing.
Built with a tough cast alloy casing and rated to IP67 for water and dust resistance, the JL Audio AP Amplifiers are designed to deliver reliable performance year after year, wherever the adventure leads.
