Flite wins two prestigious iF Design Awards for FLITELab* AMPJet and Fliteboard RACE

Flite is proud to announce that FLITELab* AMPJet and Fliteboard RACE have each been awarded the internationally renowned iF Design Award, marking a significant milestone for the Byron Bay–based innovator in electric hydrofoiling.

The recognition highlights the strength of two groundbreaking products recently introduced to the market. Winning at this level reflects the depth of innovation, engineering precision and design excellence across the business, and underscores the remarkable work delivered by the Flite team.

“This recognition is incredibly exciting for two products that represent the future of their respective categories and our commitment to design,” said Nick Stickler, Flite president “To be acknowledged at this level by such a respected international jury speaks directly to the passion, capability and ambition of our entire team.”

FLITELab* AMPJet sets a new benchmark in the foil assist category or in foil assist propulsion. It is the first removable jet cartridge fully integrated within a foil board structure, delivering 25 kilograms (55 pounds) of thrust when needed, with no additional drag from external components. The system is designed for versatility, enabling a single propulsion solution to be used across three disciplines — prone foiling, winging and downwinding.

Fliteboard RACE establishes a new standard for high-performance watersports. Featuring a custom RACE impeller developed in collaboration with Mercury Racing, the eFoil system is engineered to deliver higher RPMs, razor-sharp control and top speeds of 34 mph (55 km/h, 30 knots).

“By combining Mercury Racing’s propulsion expertise with Flite’s innovation in electric hydrofoils, we’ve created an eFoil that redefines what’s possible in speed, control and competitive performance,” said Stickler.

The iF Design Award is judged by an independent jury of 129 international design and sustainability experts who evaluate each project through a rigorous and transparent process. With more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries, the award ranks among the world’s most prestigious competitions for design excellence.
