U.S. SailGP Team signs Louisa Nordstrom

Written by

The U.S. SailGP Team today announced the signing of Louisa Nordstrom to their active roster.

Nordstrom joins the team in Halifax following three appearances with the team during the 2025 season as part of the development program, where she gained valuable experience on the F50. She now debuts on the team’s active roster.

“Louisa has earned this opportunity,” said Mike Buckley, Team Principal, CEO & Co-Owner, U.S. SailGP Team. “She’s an exceptional sailor, a relentless competitor and someone who has already proven she fits within our team culture. She’s put in the work, embraced every opportunity, and we’re excited to continue investing in her development as part of our long-term vision.”

Originally from Sarasota, Florida, Nordstrom brings experience across collegiate, Olympic and professional sailing. A four-time All-American at Yale, she campaigned for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the 470 class before competing in the inaugural Women’s America’s Cup in Barcelona.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the U.S. SailGP Team,” said Nordstrom. “It’s something I’ve been working toward for a long time, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute, continue learning and be part of such a world class program. Having spent time with the team over the past year, I know the standard they hold themselves to every day and I’m excited to get to work.”
