I caught up with Dominic Lowe at Wayfinder Yachts‘ Westhaven office recently, mostly to talk through the Hanse, Dehler and Sealine promotion that’s just kicked off, but I wanted to learn a bit more about the man behind the name first.
Dominic’s a stalwart of the New Zealand marine industry, a known name with a solid reputation built up over years in and around boats. He’s spent more than 12 years working with HanseYachts AG brands specifically, so he knows these boats inside out and understands what sailors are actually looking for. That’s really the foundation Wayfinder Yachts is built on.

As much as he clearly loves the boats themselves, Dominic kept coming back to aftersales. The sale, he reckons, is just what gets the boat out on the water. After that, it’s about keeping it there.
He’d rather build a network of Hanse, Moody, Dehler, Sealine and Fjord owners who stick around and stay in touch than move boats out the door and move on to the next one. His in-house team handles most of the day-to-day care, and where something needs a specialist, he’s got a network of trusted outside people he brings in for the job. When you’re talking about boats at this price point, he said, the aftersales care has to be looked after properly.
Eventually we got to the actual offer, which was really what I’d gone in to ask about. Wayfinder Yachts is the authorised New Zealand dealer for the group, covering Hanse, Moody, Dehler, Fjord and Sealine, and that relationship goes back a long way.
Hanse, Dehler and Sealine all have a factory campaign running now, through to the end of September. Dominic talked me through how it works.

July is the month to move. Here’s why, and the catch.
If there’s one thing to take from this whole conversation, it’s July. For Hanse and Dehler, the promotion covers 100 percent of eligible package value during July. That falls to 75 percent in August and 50 percent in September, before the offer closes. If a new boat is genuinely on the cards, July is the time to begin the conversation.
There’s a catch worth knowing too. The offer only applies to the next available build slot for each model, so it isn’t something you can bank and use whenever it suits later on. The boat must also be fully specified, with the first two payments made before the promotional window closes. There are a few other conditions, and Dominic is the best person to talk those through with.

On the Hanse side
Wayfinder carries the full Hanse range, 315 up to the 590, but the promotion covers the smaller end of that line-up, the 315, 348, 360 and 410. Judel/Vrolijk drew the 315 and 348, Berret-Racoupeau did the 360 and 410, and Dominic’s view was that whichever hand drew the boat, they all share that same Hanse trait of being easy to sail shorthanded, with everything led back to the helm.
The 315 is the entry point, coming in just under 10 metres overall. Dominic made the point that it does not feel like an entry-level boat once you are aboard. It has two cabins and a cockpit that is bigger than you might expect for its size. The 348 offers more sail area, greater interior volume and a little more pace, while remaining just as straightforward for a couple or a solo skipper to manage. Dominic described the 360 as the standout for interior volume. Its modern hull form and pronounced chines bring stability, while creating a surprising amount of room below for an 11-metre boat. The 410 tops the group out, three cabins and electric propulsion as an option.

Hanse Yachts 2026 factory packages and options
Each model has a defined group of packages and options covered by the promotion, and buyers can still specify the boat to suit themselves within that. What’s worth knowing is that any eligible equipment left out isn’t refunded or credited toward something else, so it pays to think through the full spec rather than pick and choose piecemeal.
The Navigation Package, available across all four models, brings together the principal electronics, including instruments, a chartplotter and autopilot. The Cruising Package, also across the range, is more about deck practicality, anchoring gear and extra power capacity for easier passages. The Performance Package is available on the 348, 360 and 410, but not the 315. It is for owners who want to sail the boat harder, with equipment intended to improve pointing and provide a steadier helm in a breeze. The Comfort Package, again across all four, covers interior liveability, ventilation and lighting. And the Entertainment Package, also on all four, builds on the navigation fit with networked audio and screens through the boat.
A couple of extras only come up on the 410, solar fitted into the coachroof, and a pair of electric Lewmar halyard winches, which Dominic clearly rates for anyone doing a lot of shorthanded sailing. Lithium batteries are in there too, also 410-only.
On the Dehler side
Dehler’s a different conversation, Dominic said, more performance-focused across the board. All three Dehler models included in the promotion, the 34, 38SQ and 46SQ, use the brand’s Carbon Cage, a structural framework that ties the keel and rig loads into the hull. The result is a stiffer boat when the breeze comes on.
The 34 is the one with the history, a direct descendant of the original Dehler 34 that started the performance cruiser category thirty-odd years ago. Still quick at 10.7 metres, it has twin helms that open up the cockpit and give the skipper a clear view of the sails from either side. The 38SQ steps up with a vacuum-infused hull and squaretop mainsail options, and the 46SQ is the flagship, close to 15 metres, a 9/10 fractional rig, and well over 100 square metres of sail standard. Dominic’s take on the 46SQ was that it rewards someone who actually wants to push it, not just cruise it.

Dehler Yachts 2026 factory packages and options
The options don’t line up neatly across all three, so it pays to check before getting too far into a spec. On the 34, you’ve got the B&G Navigation Package and the Cruising Package, plus the gennaker upgrade for the standard mast and the high-performance sail package. Move up to the 38SQ and all of that carries over, but you also get the option to add a second chartplotter and an engine upgrade. The 46SQ has everything the 38SQ offers, and lithium batteries come in as an option too, the only one of the three where that’s available.
And on the Sealine side
Dehler and Hanse aren’t the only brands covered. Sealine, the motor yacht arm of HanseYachts AG, is part of the same seasonal campaign, running on the same July to September structure, with the strongest advantage available to customers who order in July.
Wayfinder’s Sealine range covers the S Line and C Line. The S Line is the sportier of the two, designed by Bill Dixon and built around an open-top, convertible feel, wide sunroofs, generous cockpits and large openings that bring the saloon and outdoor spaces together. The S335 and S335v sit at the smaller end, a popular size for weekend cruising. The S335v runs twin outboards, giving it a shallower draught and lively performance. The S390 steps up with what Dominic called one of the largest cockpits in its class, room for multiple outdoor galley setups.
The C Line, or Cruiser range, leans more toward loft-style living, with the same idea of merging indoor and outdoor space rather than separating them. The C335 and C335v are the entry point, two cabins, well suited to smaller groups. The C390 sleeps up to six across three cabins. The C430 is the largest C Line model, with a generous fit-out, oversized sunroofs and several separate areas for guests to gather.

Sealine 2026 factory packages and options
The Sealine promotion runs on the same July to September window as Hanse and Dehler, with the strongest advantage for anyone who orders in July. The eligible packages cover navigation electronics, cruising gear and comfort upgrades, depending on the model.
