Azimut takes six new models to Cannes Yachting Festival

Written by

Azimut is heading to the Cannes Yachting Festival with thirteen boats across two stand locations from 8 to 13 September.

That standout Azimut at this year’s Festival is the Seadeck 9, the largest yacht Azimut has ever built at its Avigliana yard, and Cannes marks its world debut. At 25.60 metres, triple Volvo Penta IPS 1200 pods take it to 30 knots, and its stern cascades over three terraces, more than 60 square metres of it, with an integrated plunge pool and a swim platform that lowers into the sea. A 60kWh battery bank runs its Hotel Mode, up to eight hours of generator-off anchoring overnight, and Azimut says the whole package cuts fuel and emissions by up to 30 percent against a comparable yacht on a traditional hull. The first hull left Avigliana in February, delivery to its owner is due this northern summer, and it continues a pattern Boating New Zealand picked up when the Grande 30M launched ahead of last year’s Cannes show, sustainability engineering built into Azimut’s range at every size, not just its flagships.

The rest of the stand is no less busy. Azimut is also showing the flybridge Fly 62 and the newly enlarged Fly 82, both fitted with transformable stern platforms that open onto the water, the hybrid Seadeck 7, and two long-range Magellano crossovers, the 60 and the 30M, one of which runs on fully renewable HVOlution biofuel. Full specifications for all six are in the table below.

Pinnacle Marine in Auckland is Azimut’s dealer in New Zealand, and the place to talk to about all things Azimut locally.
