MSP Sports Capital has acquired a majority stake in the New Zealand SailGP Team (Black Foils), making SailGP’s 13 national teams fully privately owned. The team, led by Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, joins MSP’s sports portfolio, which includes interests in major global sports properties. SailGP said the deal marks the completion of its long-term transition from a centrally owned league to private team ownership. Burling and Tuke will remain co-CEOs of the Black Foils. www.sailgp.com
