New Zealand amphibious technology specialist will present application-matched solutions for recreational, commercial and first-response craft at IBEX 2026.
Anura Amphibious Systems will make its first US trade show appearance at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX), taking place October 6–8 at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida.
Exhibiting at Booth 3-231, Anura will introduce US craft designers and manufacturers to its broad range of amphibious solutions, spanning the compact S15 through to the high-power S75.
Anura works as a technology partner to help manufacturers match the amphibious system, power source and configuration to the craft and its intended application. The range supports recreational, commercial and first-response craft, with electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) or internal combustion engine (ICE) power options available across selected systems.
The company’s long-standing relationship with US-based Ocean Craft Marine demonstrates how Anura technology can be integrated across a manufacturer’s wider product range. Ocean Craft Marine’s amphibious range is powered by Anura S25-4N technology, with installations across its 7.1M, 9.5M and 9.8M Professional RIBs, 9.8M Transport model and AMP 280 Estero.
A strong example is the 7.1M Search and Rescue Amphibious RIB designed and built by Ocean Craft Marine for the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad’s Water Rescue Team in South Carolina.
Commissioned in 2022, the multi-mission rescue craft combines amphibious mobility with specialist rescue equipment, including diver-recovery access, reconfigurable shock-mitigating seating, thermal imaging, and advanced navigation and communications technology.
The amphibious capability allows the rescue team to launch directly from the beach, reducing its reliance on conventional launching infrastructure. Ocean Craft Marine reports that the craft has helped decrease response times while improving the safety of responding crews.
The North Myrtle Beach application demonstrates the practical value of the Anura–Ocean Craft Marine relationship: proven amphibious technology integrated into a purpose-built craft and matched to a demanding operational role. The same technology platform also supports Ocean Craft Marine craft developed for commercial-tour and recreational applications.
For commercial and first-response operators, speed of deployment and transition can be critical. Anura’s rapid-transition technology enables suitable craft to move from travelling on land to underway at up to 40 knots in under 60 seconds.
In Australia, Anura technology also supports IBIS III, a 9.5-metre alloy rescue RIB built by Westerberg Marine for Broome Sea Rescue. Equipped with an Anura S45 electric-over-hydraulic system, the craft can launch and recover across Broome’s extensive tidal zones without relying on a conventional boat ramp or deep-water access.
At IBEX, Anura’s display will include a freestanding S25 amphibious system featuring front and rear wheel assemblies and an electric-over-hydraulic power unit. Visitors will be able to examine the operating components at full scale and gain a clearer understanding of how the technology integrates with a craft.
Four rear-wheel displays representing the S15, S25, S45 and S75 will demonstrate the progression in wheel size and capability across the Anura range.
