A+T Instruments has launched the HFD5, a direct replacement and upgrade for the H5000 display. Designed for offshore and performance sailing, it is fully submersible, heat-tested to 75°C for 24 hours, and uses a rugged button interface with magnetic proximity sensors.

The HFD5 features a full-colour transflective display that becomes clearer in bright sunlight, supports portrait and landscape modes, and offers advanced display options including analogue gauges, graphs, and bar indicators. Wireless software updates are delivered via built-in Wi-Fi, eliminating vulnerable physical data ports.

The CANbus (NMEA 2000-compatible) version fits existing H5000 cutouts and connects directly to standard Micro-C cabling, enabling straightforward upgrades without replacing the instrument system. An ethernet version for new-build installations will be available soon.
