L&B’s Ocean Signal battery replacement service extends product life, saves landfill

Written by

Lusty & Blundell, New Zealand’s leading distributor of high quality marine and outdoor products and systems, is now offering a comprehensive nationwide battery replacement service for all Ocean Signal PLB (Personal Locator Beacon), EPIRB, Electronic Digital Flare and MOB (man overboard) safety devices.

The service, which greatly extends the life of the devices and saves them being unnecessarily sent to a landfill, includes a full inspection and rigorous testing of the device. It also includes a full function test, seal replacement and thorough waterproof seal testing.

Each replacement adds 5 or 7 years life to the device battery, depending on the model, and is available for all Ocean Signal safety devices. These include rescueMe PLB1 and PLB3; rescueMe MOB; rescueMe EPIRB 1 and EPIRB 3.

L&B’s battery replacement service offers a quick two-week turnaround, with urgent options for those needing a faster service to ensure safety on an upcoming trip.
