Survey: Boat owners invited to share views on biocide-free antifouling

Written by

Yachting New Zealand-registered boat owners are being invited to share their experiences and views on biocide-free antifouling coatings through a new survey.

The survey is being conducted by Land Water People (LWP) on behalf of the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), with the aim of better understanding the options currently available, as well as the experiences, challenges and barriers faced by vessel owners.

Whether you currently use a biocide-free system or traditional antifouling, boat owners are encouraged to take part. The survey covers topics including effectiveness, costs, maintenance, cleaning practices, uptake and what could make biocide-free options more practical.

The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
