ELECTRIC DREAM

Torqeedo’s new, direct-drive Travel 1103 C motor is a high-tech electric alternative to small petrol outboards.

The Travel 1103 C delivers equivalent propulsive power to a 3hp petrol outboard and is suitable for boats up to 1.5 tons.

With push-button start, an integrated onboard computer with GPS-calculated range and runtime data, variable speed forward and reverse, and no risk of fuel or oil spills, the waterproof motor is easy to use and maintain.

Supplied with a clip-on 915Wh lithium-ion battery with an integrated USB port and a standard charger, it will power a small inflatable for approximately 74km/20 hours at 2 knots or 8km at 5.5 knots.

The new model adds instantaneous throttle response, a stronger pylon, an upgraded transom mount and a twoyear warranty. It’s easy to add a spare battery, a remote throttle and to use the TorqTrac smartphone app.
