FROM OCTOBER 1 WINDCRAFT will be operating from new premises at Half Moon Bay Marina.
Windcraft’s Cameron Burch explains: “With the closure of Pier 21, pending closure of The Landing, and continued pressure on marine infrastructure in central Auckland, we’ve spent considerable time evaluating the region’s marine facilities and have elected to relocate Windcraft’s sales office and service
centre to Half Moon Bay Marina.
“Aside from being a great gateway to our cruising hot spots, we enjoy superb access at HMB to the skilled marine trades we work with. The recent (significant) investments made by HMB into their facilities make it a world-class marine centre – Auckland’s best and we look forward to basing ourselves here long term.”
Going forward all Windcraft’s new boat commissioning will be completed at HMB, as will the majority of their hard stand service work and antifouling etc. Windcraft has also retained a workshop in Westhaven to service the client base there and invested in mobile service vehicles to travel to and support clients based in the other marinas around Auckland.
