After yesterday’s still weather during the mid-afternoon, and the hours of delays this caused, finally reaching a crescendo in the evening with very high winds and disturbed sea state during the Youth America’s Cup races – today we are in danger of similar outcomes. The wind is forecasted to be around 5 to 6 kn, but the sea state disturbance which makes foiling so hard will be very choppy, forecast to be between 1 m and 1.5 meters through the race windows today. Thats not good for the AC40’s in particular.

Today in Barcelona we have a very busy day of racing, from 10:30pm (12:30CET) the the Youth America’s Cup will race, we are due for a service today, two from group A which is made up of the countries who are competing in the core Americas cup, and group B will also have two races -that group is made up of invited countries from around the world.

We also have up to 4 races in the America’s Cup semifinals, we are currently on match point in both of the groups with a loss from either American Magic or Alinghimeaning these teams will be instantly evicted from the 2024 America’s Cup Regatta.

Boatgear (formerly Tenob)

The story of Boatgear is one of success, in fact one of the most successful in the New Zealand marine industry. It began back in 1973 when Ted Nobbs, and yes, that’s where the original company name, Tenob, name came from, began the business. At that time the company developed the Tenob rise & fall outboard bracket and now, nearly 50 years later, the range of outboard brackets has grown and is almost unchanged from the original. It is sold all around the world. However, that is just one...
