The partnership, which builds on a relationship established in 2019, heralds the launch of the Rolex SailGP Championship, a fusion of two icons renowned for innovation, precision, and performance.

A Shared Vision of Excellence

Announcing the historic partnership, SailGP CEO Sir Russell Coutts emphasised the synergy between the two brands:

“The dawn of the Rolex SailGP Championship marks a new era in our sport – a testament to a shared pursuit of excellence, both on and off the water. Rolex’s heritage of performance and precision perfectly complements SailGP’s mission to redefine the sport of sailing – an annual championship, providing thrilling racing in iconic global destinations. SailGP and Rolex are now one and the same, and we’re incredibly proud to share this journey with them.”

Rolex’s deep-rooted connection to sailing spans nearly seven decades, a legacy the brand is eager to elevate through its partnership with SailGP. Arnaud Boetsch, Rolex’s Director of Communication & Image, highlighted the alignment of values and aspirations:

A Championship Like No Other

This weekend marks the debut of the Rolex SailGP 2025 Season Championship, featuring a bold new aesthetic and a heightened fan experience. The integration of Rolex branding across all aspects of the championship, from LiveLine technology to digital platforms, promises an immersive journey for fans worldwide. Updates include:

A Milestone Celebration

The partnership was officially unveiled at the UAE Pavilion in Dubai’s Expo City, where all 12 national teams competing in the championship gathered for a grand launch event. Attendees were treated to an exclusive preview of the 2025 season, alongside celebrations of recent announcements, including Emirates and DP World joining as Global League Partners and the debut of the Red Bull Italy SailGP Team.

The Rolex SailGP Championship will open this weekend with the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix, presented by P&O Marinas. Set against the stunning backdrop of Mina Rashid, the event promises two days of high-octane racing and has already cemented its place as a highlight on the Middle East’s sporting calendar.

As the Rolex SailGP Championship sets sail, its ambitions extend beyond the racecourse. With Rolex’s support, SailGP aims to continue pushing boundaries in sailing innovation while inspiring future generations.
