We have been in touch with the Police this morning. At this stage there is no evidence that any boats are missing in the area, and it is thought that the yacht seen moving slowly causing this call-out, may just have been a boat under wind power, in slack winds.
The Police have reported that they are keeping the call open but without further information, they will take no further action.
No further search is planned, unless more information becomes available.

A member of the public notified authorities, stating that they believed there were two individuals aboard the vessel when it was last seen. In response, Police Search and Rescue teams launched an immediate operation with assistance from the Coast Guard, including an aerial search by helicopter. Despite their efforts, no trace of the boat or its occupants was found.
At this stage, no one has been reported missing or overdue to Police. However, authorities are urging anyone who may have information or was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward. Additionally, if anyone finds a boat or a boat trolley washed up on the beach, they are asked to contact Police.

The public’s assistance is vital in helping to locate the missing vessel and ensure the safety of those involved.
