The 2025 edition sees the format streamlined to two yachts per team, reflecting contemporary trends in the sport while maintaining its historical essence. This evolution ensures the competition remains both accessible and fiercely competitive, attracting the best yachts and sailors from around the globe.

For 2025, RNZYS will proudly field a formidable two-yacht team:
- Callisto (Custom Botin IRC 42): Owned by James Murray, Callisto is a masterclass in precision and speed. Designed for the competitive IRC rating rule, this vessel and its experienced crew are tailored for success on both inshore and offshore courses.
- Caro (Custom Botin IRC 52): Max Klink’s Caro is no stranger to international success. With a proven track record, including performances in multiple Sydney to Hobart races, Caro combines advanced technology and exceptional craftsmanship to shine on any stage.
