In a historic first, the Jetsprint world has seen a triple crown achievement in the Unlimited Superboats/Premier Jet Sprint class. Australian racer Phonsy Mullan completed the rare feat by winning the Unlimited Superboat NZ, the Australian Jetsprint Championship, and the 2025 UIM Unlimited Superboat World Title all in one year. His season was nothing short of remarkable: he dominated rounds of the NZ series, clinched the Building King Unlimited Superboats title at the UIM World Jetsprint Championship in Whanganui, and secured the top honors in Australia, marking a world-first triple crown in jetsprint racing.

Phonsy is also the first Australian to win the Unlimited NZ Title.

These accomplishments have set a new benchmark in the sport and are celebrated as a groundbreaking achievement for jetsprint competitors worldwide

The final round of the 2024/2025 New Zealand Jetsprint Championship took place at Shelter View Jetsprint Park in Whanganui. The event featured high-speed racing in three classes—Superboats, Group A, and LS Class—with V8-powered boats reaching speeds of up to 140 km/h through a demanding course of 25 turns. The PSP Jetsprint Team recorded multiple podium finishes: Kiwi driver Ollie Silverton and navigator Amanda Kittow won Group A, while in Superboats, Kiwi duo Simon and Sarah Gibbon took first. In the LS Class, American driver River Rogers and navigator Cole Keats overcame a tough start to secure victory.
