Nice Boating Tomorrow, a new boat show focusing on sustainable boating

The inaugural Nice Boating Tomorrow is set to make waves in March 2026 as a dedicated platform for sustainable innovation in the boating industry. Held over four days at Quai Amiral Infernet and the new Conference Centre in the Port of Nice, the event is the result of a partnership between Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur and the Grand Pavois Organisation. It aims to address one of the sector’s most pressing challenges—environmental transition—by bringing together manufacturers, innovators, policymakers, and the public.

The boating sector, like many others, faces mounting pressure to reduce its ecological footprint. This transition includes rethinking the entire life cycle of a boat: from design and construction to maintenance and end-of-life dismantling. Ports, too, play a vital role and must evolve alongside these new expectations. With France’s boating industry employing over 150,000 people, housing more than 5,000 companies, and exporting the majority of its production, it holds a key position in the global marine economy—and a responsibility to lead on sustainability.

Nice Boating Tomorrow will feature exhibits both on land and at sea, along with sea trials, demonstrations, and product showcases. A full conference programme—comprising panel discussions, round tables, and thematic forums—will invite contributions from influential figures in maritime innovation and environmental science. The event is also designed to engage the public with awareness-building initiatives that highlight practical solutions for cleaner, more efficient boating.

The choice of Nice as host city ties in with its recent environmental commitments and international positioning, including hosting elements of the United Nations Ocean Conference. Mayor Christian Estrosi called the show “a beautiful challenge to link boating and environmental transition,” signalling a strong political and civic drive behind the initiative.

As the industry accelerates toward a lower-impact future, Nice Boating Tomorrow is set to become a cornerstone event—one that not only showcases innovation, but actively fosters the collaborations and ideas needed to shape the boating of tomorrow.
