There’s only one way to truly understand the ride – and that’s to experience it firsthand. Innovision Boats invites boaties to get behind the helm this May and judge for themselves.

For many, a sea trial is the real decider when choosing a boat – and Innovision knows it. The Auckland-based manufacturer has long been known for its distinctive hull design, offering exceptional stability, a soft ride, and premium comfort at speed. In 2025, they’re putting their reputation on the line by doubling down on public Demo Days — starting this May in Auckland, with Australia to follow mid-year.

Innovision kicked off the season at the Auckland on Water Boat Show and came away with standout praise from serious boaties.

“Outperformed any other boat I’ve been on (and I’ve spent a lot of time on boats),” said one visitor. “Leaps above every other boat we tried at the show – stability at rest, softness of ride, quiet ride, and grips the water like nothing else. And the finish quality is next level if you want comfort. We looked at every other brand there, and by far, Innovision was the most impressive.”

With feedback like that, it’s no wonder the team is keen to get more people out on the water. Whether you’re after a high-performing fishing platform, a family-friendly cruiser, or a refined soft-rider for offshore conditions, these Demo Days offer a chance to test the latest range in real-world conditions.

Upcoming demo days

Auckland Demo Days

Innovision’s next round of sea trials will be held at the Outboard Boating Club in Auckland from 15 to 18 May, running daily between noon and 3:30pm. Models on display and available for test rides include the IV616 Venture, the newest-generation IV656 Explorer hull, and a selection of centre consoles designed for serious fishability and all-round on-water performance.

The IV616 and IV656 are particularly popular among boaties looking for a smooth ride through chop, with a stable platform for fishing, diving, or family adventures. These are not your average tinnies – they’re engineered aluminium boats designed to outperform expectations.

Innovision heads to Australia

For those based across the Tasman, Innovision will be launching Demo Days in Brisbane and Western Australia from July 2025. These events coincide with the arrival of two freshly completed builds, giving Aussie buyers a rare chance to experience the ride in local waters.

Full dates and venues are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, but registrations of interest are already open via the dedicated contact person – click here.

Experience before you buy

As anyone who’s bought a boat knows, there’s no substitute for getting out there and feeling how a hull handles. That’s why these Innovision Demo Days are such a valuable opportunity — not only to explore the latest innovations, but to compare performance, layout, and finish against anything else on the market.

Spots are limited and bookings are essential. Whether you’re a keen angler, weekend adventurer, or looking for a safe family platform, you’ll want to find out for yourself why more and more Kiwi and Aussie boaters are making the switch to Innovision.

A Breakthrough in Custom Stanchions At the forefront of Dixon Stainless’ offerings is their ability to produce custom stanchions, a significant milestone for New Zealand’s marine industry. These stanchions—essential vertical supports on boats that hold life-lines in place around the hull—are vital for safety in marine and yachting applications. In river rafting, similar metal bars securely hold the yokes for oars, making them a crucial element for both safety and functionality. Dixon Stainle...
