Offered at $36,000, Jenanne II is a rare and beautifully crafted 1974 Townson 36 Custom timber yacht designed by renowned New Zealand yacht designer Des Townson. Commissioned for the Neary family, she is a scaled-up version of Townson’s successful Twilight design. Construction was started by master builder Brin Wilson and finished with exceptional craftsmanship by Piri Neary, a second-generation cabinetmaker. Built using triple-skin kauri with mahogany and Australian maple finishes, she represents a high point in 1970s Kiwi yacht building.

With a beam of 3.28m, a draft of 1.9m, and a displacement of 6,240kg, Jenanne II is a proven performer under sail, equally capable as a comfortable Gulf cruiser or a serious contender in classic yacht regattas. Her inshore safety gear, roller furling headsail, full suit of sails, and quality 35hp marinised Kubota diesel (with just 1300 hours) make her well-equipped for both casual and competitive sailing.

Additional features include berths for five, an engine-driven freezer, RIB inflatable dinghy, 2hp Yamaha outboard, and an optional 12m berth at Westhaven Marina. After over 50 years with the original family, she is now looking for a new custodian with a deep appreciation for classic timber yachts and the care they require.
