This winter, aluminium boatbuilder Innovision is heading to the water—and taking three of their standout models on tour. From demo days in Perth and Brisbane to the Hamilton Boat, Fish & Dive Expo, it’s a rare opportunity to see these award-winning trailer boats up close.
🧭 Perth Demo Day – IV616 Explorer – Sat 26 July
🧭 Brisbane Demo Day – IV616 Venture – Sat 9 August
🧭 Boat, Fish & Dive Expo (Mystery Creek, Hamilton) – IV7000 Amphib & IV616 Explorer – 30–31 August
We’ve reviewed all three models—they score at a very respectable average of 4.3 stars. So what sets them apart, and what unites them? Let’s take a closer look.
Amphibious versatility: IV7000 Amphib
There’s something undeniably impressive about watching a boat drive itself up the beach—and Innovision’s IV7000 Amphib delivers that magic with the help of Anura’s petrol-powered amphibious system.
This 7.6-metre hardtop feels more like a compact cruiser than a trailer boat. Underway, the Yamaha 300hp V6 provides relaxed 25–30 knot cruising, while on land, the S25 amphibious system is intuitive and reassuringly robust. The extra hull volume added to accommodate the amphibious gear has only enhanced its ride—solid, smooth, and confidence-inspiring.
Like all Innovision models, it has a purposeful stance and practical layout: a full transom bait station, clever boarding platforms, a V-berth cabin with optional toilet, and thoughtful details like toe kicks, thigh washers, and dry storage for days.
This is a boat that ticks the family box as easily as the fishing one—and with its long-range fuel tank and open transom, it’s ideal for beach-access holiday homes or remote landings.
Overall rating: 4 / 5 stars
Notable for: Amphibious access, family comfort, premium fishability

Crossover cunning: IV616 Venture
Debuting in 2025 and originally designed for Australia’s sportfishing market, the IV616 Venture might be one of the smartest hybrid layouts we’ve seen. It merges walkaround fishing functionality with a full-width forward cabin—including berths and a plumbed toilet—all tucked neatly under a raised casting deck.
At first glance, it looks like a centre-console. But hidden beneath that forward platform is a surprisingly capable overnighter that doesn’t compromise deck space or sight-fishing height. Add a 250hp Yamaha V6 and Garmin’s latest trolling and sonar gear, and the Venture becomes a serious lure-casting machine.
Built on the same hull DNA as the Explorer, this version has an even more fishing-focused cockpit. It features a wide transom bait station, twin casting platforms, folding seats, and enough rod holders to make any angler grin. A Seakeeper Ride system subtly flattens the motion under way, adding to its family-friendly feel.
Overall rating: 4.4 / 5 stars
Notable for: Forward casting deck with hidden cabin, Helm Master controls, superb electronics integration

Explorer DNA refined: IV616 Explorer
It’s the original Innovision, evolved. The 616 Explorer sports that now-iconic plumb bow and sweeping sheerline, housing one of the most capable six-metre trailer boat layouts we’ve tested. It’s quiet, strong, and rides like a boat twice its size.
New hull geometry and revised chines provide soft landings and exceptional tracking. That sharp bow entry cleaves through head seas, while full-length chines and a 19° transom deadrise create stability whether fishing with mates or cruising with the family.
The hardtop is cleverly proportioned and rigged for all-season boating. The layout includes twin helm seats, twin boarding ladders, a fold-out bench seat, wet and dry storage, twin bilge systems, freshwater tank, and a live bait tank. Cabin space is surprisingly generous, and with berths stretching nearly two metres, a family overnighter isn’t out of the question.
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 stars
Notable for: Ride comfort, build quality, practical features across the board

What they share: innovation, fishability, and family focus
Though each Innovision model has its own niche, there’s a clear design lineage. All three sport wide beams for at-rest stability, plumb bows for extended waterlines, and uncompromising build strength—underscored by a 10-year structural hull warranty.
Each model offers full-length V-berths and the option of a marine toilet. There’s a reason we think of these as modern classics—sea-tough hulls with refined detailing, performance-minded design with practical sensibility, and the kind of silhouette that stands out at any ramp.
These are boats for serious fishers who still want to take the family. For those who demand smart design, clean execution, and year-round versatility, Innovision’s latest lineup deserves a spot on your calendar—and your radar.
