Maritimo has appointed KJM Marine as its authorised dealer for the Middle East and Indian Ocean Dealer, marking another strategic move to strengthen the yacht builder’s presence across the region.

# Australian Motor Yacht Builder Expands to Middle East with KJM Marine Partnership

The Greater Middle East is emerging as an increasingly significant market for long-range cruising motor yachts, and Australian builder Maritimo has moved to capitalise on the opportunity by appointing KJM Marine as its exclusive dealer across the Gulf Cooperation Council and selected territories spanning the Indian Ocean.

The appointment covers Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, plus Egypt, Lebanon, the Maldives, Mauritius and the Seychelles. It reflects what Maritimo describes as growing interest from experienced owners in the region who prioritise genuine offshore capability alongside the comfort expected in luxury vessels.

KJM Marine brings considerable pedigree to the role. The dealership’s leadership team has spent more than 15 years in the large motor yacht sector across the Middle East, operating a mobile sales model that takes the showroom to clients wherever they are based. The company also maintains an in-house technical team and dedicated service facility to handle commissioning, warranty work and ongoing maintenance, a full-service approach that Maritimo’s Global Business Development Manager Derrick Nowak says aligns with the builder’s owner-first philosophy.

“I have known Paurush Faeouk, KJM Marine’s Sales Director, for over three years and have seen first-hand his commitment to client relationships and professional service,” Nowak says. “During that time, I have watched KJM Marine develop strong capability and become an influential player in the regional yachting market. We believe they offer the right combination of local knowledge and industry experience to represent the Maritimo brand.”

KJM Marine’s CEO Mohammad Aljasmi sees real potential in both the traditional boating community and the wave of new residents establishing themselves in the region. “Maritimo is a beloved brand among certain yacht lovers in our part of the world, particularly those with a deep knowledge of yachting,” he explains. “We see strong opportunity not only with existing clients, but also with the many new residents choosing to make this region their home, as well as international visitors enjoying the waters of the Seychelles and Maldives.”

The dealership will represent Maritimo’s full range, from the M-Series and S-Series motor yachts through to the Offshore Series models. Each has been engineered in Australia for offshore performance, and features that matter in tropical and subtropical cruising are built in as standard: enclosed and air-conditioned flybridge areas, spacious entertaining zones across multiple levels, large adventure decks and swim platforms, plus panoramic opening windows that create flexibility between climate-controlled comfort and open-air cruising.

The appointment comes at a time when marina infrastructure expansion and rising numbers of experienced owners in the Middle East continue to support demand for genuine long-range vessels. For Maritimo owners now living in or visiting the GCC and surrounding territories, the partnership delivers dedicated local representation and technical expertise backed by proven after-sales support.
