Songbird 50 has proven offshore credentials, having been delivered under sail from France to Australia with a professional crew, then cruised along the Australian east coast and throughout South East Asia with her owners before returning to Australia. The owner’s cabin is extra large. Her sail wardrobe includes a main, headsail, and a spinnaker and new screecher on a continuous furler. She is powered by two 75hp Yanmar engines, while solar panels and systems (Victron MPPT controller), lithium house batteries (Mastervolt battery chargers) and an 11kVa Onan generator ensure self-sufficiency at sea to comfortably power all the appliances.
The helm position is well protected by a large hardtop bimini. The Raymarine electronics have been updated for easy navigation and she comes with an Iridium Go and spare PredictWind sim card that enables satellite communication and accurate weather forecasting worldwide. The 6-person central control dinghy with 30hp Suzuki engine allows easy transport to and from shore once you are securely anchored with the 55kg Spade anchor and 100m of 12-inch chain.
Songbird 50 comes with all the comforts of home, including a full-sized domestic refrigerator plus a marine fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, gas stove and oven, a microwave, a washing machine, reverse cycle air-conditioning and multiple fans. There is a spacious and comfortable leather lounge in the saloon, two televisions with surround sound, and a Fusion sound system with speakers at the helm, in the cockpit and saloon. The cockpit is enclosed with a strong breathable shade cloth and features two different sized tables, including one that can be converted into a massage table.
