Saxdor 460 GTC set for global debut at boot Düsseldorf

After six months of controlled launch announcements, Saxdor 460 GTC is ready to step into the light. Saxdor’s largest and most ambitious model to date will make its global premiere at boot Düsseldorf, marking the first time the 46 footer is seen by the public in full production form.

Announced in mid-2024, the 460 GTC has remained deliberately under wraps. No real-world photography has appeared on the Saxdor website or on social media, no dockside walkarounds have leaked, and details have been tightly managed. That changes in Düsseldorf, where the Finnish brand will formally introduce its new flagship to the global market.

The 460 GTC builds directly on the concept proven by the 400 GTC, then stretches it with confidence. At 14.4 metres overall and carrying a full beam wheelhouse, it is designed as a genuinely adaptable outboard yacht, able to close down completely or open edge to edge in a matter of moments. Sliding glass doors, a retracting roof and Saxdor’s signature fold down side terraces transform the boat from enclosed cruiser to open dayboat without changing levels or flow.

Those terraces are central to the design. Extra long and fitted with large glass inserts, they extend roughly a third of the hull length. When deployed, they sit flush with the saloon floor, effectively widening the main deck to its full beam and allowing seamless movement between interior and exterior. With the wheelhouse opened, the boundary between inside and outside largely disappears.

Below the waterline sits Saxdor’s twin stepped deep V hull, now scaled up for triple outboards. Rated for up to 1275 horsepower, the 460 GTC is expected to deliver top end speeds in the 45 to 50 knot range, while retaining the soft ride and efficiency that have become a hallmark of the brand. Construction is vacuum infused GRP, consistent with the rest of the Saxdor range.

Accommodation follows a clean, practical layout. A generous forward cabin is paired with a new twin mid cabin beneath the wheelhouse, supported by a proper bathroom with separate shower. Light finishes and restrained lighting continue the modern, Scandinavian tone.

Düsseldorf will be the first chance to see whether it delivers on what it is promising.
