TECHNICIAN -TEAM BASE MANAGER
ROLE OVERVIEW
K-Challenge, the French Challenger for the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, to be held in Naples, Italy, in Spring / Summer 2027 is looking for a team base manager to start as soon as possible until end of August 2027.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
K-Challenge is looking for a team base manager in charge of ensuring the installed structures are in working order so the team can operate under the best conditions possible.
This to include:
– Building and management of the infrastructure
– Maintenance of the infrastructure and management of repairs (plumbing, electricity
carpentry)
– Manage deliveries
– Support the technical team in on site operations
– Support the team in sourcing necessary items from local businesses
– Coordinates tech base supplier operations
– The ability to operate a fixed crane is a plus
PROFILE
• Versatile technician / handyman
• Languages: English conversational – French and Italian are a bonus
• Forklift operator certificate and driving license compulsory
• Other driving permits including motor yacht driving license are a plus
• Previous experience in event industry or nautical industry
• Good team spirit and problem solver attitude
• Adaptability and flexibility are key
CONDITIONS
• Full time position on a fixed term contract
• Rate depending on experience
• Based in Lorient for spring and summer 2026 than full time position in Naples, Italy
