Leaving Spain behind isn’t a walk in the park for the Figaro fleet. Today’s racing saw the competitors battle it out as they pushed away from the Iberian coast, with conditions testing both boat handling and navigation skills.

The sailors are discovering that breaking free from Spanish waters requires more than just a fair wind — it’s about reading the conditions, managing the fleet dynamics, and making smart tactical calls when it counts.

With the fleet now spreading across the racecourse, the real competition is hotting up as skippers look to gain crucial metres on their rivals during this critical phase of the race.
