The 57th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec wrapped up in style. From Perros-Guirec to Le Havre, via Vigo and Pornichet, all 36 competitors served up a feast of ocean racing. Here’s how the 2026 edition stacked up by the numbers.
A legend crowns himself, and fresh talent steps into the spotlight
The standout winner of this year’s race was the competition’s elder statesman, Nicolas Lunven (PRB). At 44, he claimed victory with a combined time of 11 days, 2 hours, 46 minutes and 19 seconds. Behind him, the next generation shone brilliantly: Alexis Thomas (Wings of the Ocean) secured an impressive second place in his sixth outing, clocking 11 days, 3 hours, 15 minutes and 26 seconds. Paul Morvan (Foricher – French Touch) rounded out a stellar podium in just his third appearance, finishing in 11 days, 3 hours, 32 minutes and 20 seconds. The racing was ferociously close—the smallest gap in the overall standings was just 2 minutes and 9 seconds between Arthur Meurisse (Kiloutou) and Laure Galley (Hauterive). On the human side, the mix of ages left its mark, pitting Nicolas Lunven’s experience against the raw audacity of youngest competitor Tom Goron, just 19 years old. In the Défi Paprec double-handed division, victory went to Thomas Dinas and Eliott Coville (Auray Quiberon by Orlabay) in 3 days, 23 hours, 16 minutes and 29 seconds.
A race with purpose: local, engaged and environmentally conscious

La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec is far more than just sporting prowess—it’s a major community celebration committed to ecological transition:
Strong local roots: The four stopover villages welcomed the public across 6,046 m² over 20 days. Community spirit: 86% of visitors were locals or tourists living within 20 km. Exemplary sustainability practice: 70% of visitors chose active transport (walking and cycling) to reach the event—up 18% on the 2025 edition.
A huge thanks to our partners, skippers, organising teams and everyone who brought this edition to life!
