Following Erica Lush’s retirement earlier this morning, two more sailors have pulled out of the final leg of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec. Davy Beaudart, racing Nautymor, lost his wind instruments yesterday evening and has been unable to receive wind speed and direction data. At 13:34, he informed race control he couldn’t safely continue given the heavy weather closing in, and has decided to retire.

Just two minutes later at 13:36, Quentin Mocudet aboard Saveurs & Délices also notified race control of his retirement. Injured on the opening day, Quentin is unable to continue in the challenging conditions forecast for the Channel.

Both skippers are now making their way to Lorient, while Erica Lush is heading for Les Sables-d’Olonne.
