This 2018 Lagoon 42 is based in Tonga and comes in the owner's three-cabin layout, with a forward master suite in one hull and twin guest cabins in the other. Designed by Van Peteghem/Lauriot Prevost, the 42 has built a solid reputation among cruising sailors for combining comfortable living with stable, confidence-inspiring performance under sail. At 12.8m length overall, with a 7.68m beam and just 1.2m draft, this catamaran sits flat at anchor and opens up shallow anchorages that most monohulls can't reach.

The cockpit and saloon are generously sized, and the flybridge helm position gives good visibility underway, all useful for long-range cruising. Currently in Tonga, the boat is set up and ready for cruising the South Pacific, within reach of Vava'u, Fiji and the wider island groups. Offered at AUD $590,000, this is a well-specified, French-built catamaran with the layout and performance to suit serious cruising or charter work.
