The Caribbean 420 Express made its official global debut back in August 2015 at the Sydney International Boat Show, and it arrived with an incredible piece of history attached to it. Built by Melbourne’s legendary International Marine, who have recently been acquired by the Australian luxury motor yacht powerhouse Maritimo, this specific model line holds a massive factory milestone as hull number 55,555 produced by the yard.
When you look at its design lineage, it is a single-level sedan cruiser built directly on the proven, deep-vee bluewater hull platform of the iconic Caribbean 40 Flybridge Cruiser. Because International Marine spent decades building Bertram motor yachts under license, that famous Bertram rough-water DNA runs heavily through this monohull, though packaged with a much more modern interior layout. Right now, this particular 2015 model is listed for sale in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty through Tauranga Boat Sales, carrying an asking price of $745,000 NZD with low engine hours in fantastic condition.
Stepping onto the boat, the exterior lines look incredibly clean and timeless with an all-white hull matched by a white superstructure on top. The transom area is an absolute dream if you love being out on the water, offering a massive 111 square feet of cockpit space laid entirely in tidy real teak. It is set up beautifully for entertaining or extended trips, featuring a large 240-volt cockpit freezer and a starboard cockpit couch. Underneath the cockpit floor, you get great lazarette storage, while the transom itself is fully rigged for game fishing with game poles, a center rigger, and a live bait tank.
