Mercury Marine digital and control innovations

Written by

Mercury Marine has launched a new generation of digital and control innovations designed to enhance performance, simplify operation and elevate the boating experience. The lineup includes the Mercury Keyless System, Boost, Premier Joystick and a new DTS Performance Pedal. Together, these technologies strengthen Mercury’s leadership in integrated propulsion, uniting hardware, software and digital connectivity in a seamless prop-to-helm ecosystem.

Boost: Performance, unlocked digitally

Boost is a software-based engine calibration that delivers a 5% to 21% improvement in midrange acceleration and zero-to-top-speed performance. Available as a dealer-installed upgrade for select existing Mercury outboards—and standard on some models later this year — Boost increases responsiveness through manufacturer backed software, supporting Mercury’s shift toward digital product experiences and future software upgrades.

Mercury Keyless System: A new standard in smart boating

The Mercury Keyless System enables boat access, startup and security via a mobile device. Integrated with SmartCraft® Connect, it supports single- and multi-engine configurations, offering intuitive automation, centralised security and control for up to six engines. The system is compatible with Mercury engines rated at 75hp and above.

Premier Joystick: Elevated control, expanded capability

The redesigned Premier Joystick and updated MFD interface deliver more intuitive helm control, with new features including Dockhook, Skyhook®
Reposition and remote helm Skyhook control. Expanded support for dual bow thrusters improves precision during lowspeed manoeuvring,
while Autopilot-equipped boats gain access to advanced features such as Skyhook®, Heading Hold and Position Hold.

DTS Performance Pedal: Precision control at speed

The DTS Performance Pedal is a foot operated throttle designed for high speed, single engine applications, allowing operators to keep both hands
on the wheel. Ideal for DTS-equipped boats operating at 120 km/h and above, it features a compact throttle sensor, premium billet aluminium
construction, nonslip EVA decking and an integrated toe hook for enhanced control and safety.
