Aquila Power Catamarans is taking its biggest-ever line-up to the Cannes Yachting Festival this September, seven models spread across both of the show’s venues, headlined by two world debuts and a European premiere.
At Vieux Port, the news is the all-new 35 Sport, the smallest boat yet in Aquila’s reimagined Sport range. It runs 10.81 metres (35’6″) overall on a 4.49 metre (14’9″) beam, wide enough, Aquila says, to match the usable deck space of a 40 to 43-foot monohull, and comes standard with twin Mercury Verado V8 300hp outboards. Beside it sits the 45 Sport, the Sport range’s current flagship, making its European debut after launching at February’s Miami International Boat Show. Its hydraulic fold-down terraces widen the beam from 15 feet to more than 19 feet at anchor, and twin Mercury Verado V12 600hp outboards push a claimed top end above 50 mph.
The rest of Aquila’s Vieux Port stand covers the cruising end of the range. The 50 Yacht, Category A ocean certified with a single-level, full-beam master cabin, is joined by the more compact 46 Yacht, sharing the same “Explorer” styling in a 47’2″ hull, and the 46 Coupe, which pairs sport boat looks with the carbon-fibre Aquila Hydro Glide® foil system fitted as standard.
Across the harbour at Port Canto, Aquila is exhibiting sailing catamarans at Cannes for the first time, with the new 45 Sail making its own world debut alongside the existing, award-winning 50 Sail. “Cannes Yachting Festival is the perfect stage to showcase the continued evolution of Aquila,” says Alain Raas, Aquila’s Global Brand Director. “The new 45 Sail and 35 Sport reflect our commitment to delivering innovative, versatile and performance-driven catamarans across both our sail and power ranges. The 35 Sport is available to order now, with deliveries beginning early 2027, and a second public debut follows at Fort Lauderdale in October for anyone who missed the French Riviera. Locally, Whitehaven Marine at Auckland’s Westhaven remains Aquila’s official Australia and New Zealand dealer for the wider range, though which of this year’s new models reach New Zealand water first is one for the dealer to confirm.
