Galeon has added a new 420 FLY to its flybridge range. The Polish builder unveiled the new model on 30 July 2026, positioning it as an update built on the proven Galeon 400 FLY rather than a clean sheet design.
At 13.68 metres length overall with a 4 metre beam, the 420 FLY sits at the compact end of Galeon’s FLY line-up, but the numbers change once you’re at anchor. Fold out both side balconies and the beam grows to 5.90 metres, turning the aft cockpit into what’s effectively an open-air terrace at the waterline. According to a review by French outlet BoatNews, that extra width only applies at anchor or on a mooring, back at the marina the hull keeps its original beam, so owners aren’t forced into a wider, pricier berth just to get the extra space.
Below decks there are two en-suite cabins rather than the usual three-cabin squeeze that shows up on boats this size. The full-beam master sits amidships with a king-size bed and extra headroom, while the VIP cabin forward takes care of family or guests. On the main deck, a C-shaped sofa to starboard and a smaller sofa to port flank the galley, with the helm forward on the starboard side behind a double seat. Up top, the flybridge carries its own seating, dining table, grill and wet bar around a centrally mounted helm station, so there’s a genuine third outdoor living space stacked above the cockpit and foredeck.
Buyers get a choice of propulsion, DPI sterndrive or a traditional shaft drive, both rated to a maximum 2 x 353 kW (2 x 480 hp). Galeon hasn’t published top speed, range or fuel burn figures yet.
Galeon flagged this fold-out balcony trick on its bigger 435 GTO when that model picked up a nod at the 2025 Yacht Style Awards for exactly this kind of expandable deck space, part of a wider shift across the flybridge market toward squeezing more usable deck area out of the same marina footprint rather than growing the hull. Seeing it drop into a boat this size suggests it’s becoming a Galeon signature rather than a flagship-only feature.
