THE BEAST NEARS COMPLETION

The largest boat currently in build in New Zealand, THE BEAST, has relocated from builder Profab Engineering’s yard in Palmerston North to Foxton Beach.

THE BEAST is due to be completed and available for charter work in New Zealand and the South Pacific by June this year. Hull and superstructure were transported separately and have now been welded together and final touches are being made before sea trials begin.

An expedition yacht of dramatic proportions, THE BEAST has a total internal volume of 493 GRT (1,395.2m2), is 39.5m in length and has a 12m beam. She can accommodate 12 guests and 10 crew.

Her interior and deck facilities will include every superyacht luxury and refinement. She will offer extended range for remote cruising, a 13m fully-equipped game fishing vessel carried on deck, and a 9m amphibious tender.

Built for the ex-owner of the award-winning Alloy Yachts-built VvS1, this cat has similar accents with its stout exterior and promises to be a serious asset to the South Pacific charter fleet.
