Actisense, a leading and innovative manufacturer of NMEA products, has appointed Advance Trident as its exclusive distributor for the New Zealand market.

Following successful negotiations, Actisense and Advance Trident joined forces with a goal to upscale New Zealand sales through proactive distribution.

Actisense was formed in 1996 by Phil Whitehurst, an electronics engineer and avid sailor. Phil recognised there was a need for innovative and reliable marine electronic equipment. Actisense has a rich history of designing and manufacturing an entire range of NMEA products dedicated to making every journey on the water safer and more efficient.

Utilising nearly 30 years of specialist experience designing DSP software and hardware, as well as in the field of smart sensors and underwater acoustics, Actisense is a market leader in manufacturing intelligent marine electronic products.

“Advance Trident represents world class brands, and the range of NMEA products from Actisense perfectly complements what we offer,” says Blair Geldard, ATL Managing Director. “We are excited to re-introduce Actisense to our marine trade and OEM customers.”

Actisense products include NMEA 2000 cable, connectors, and gateways suitable for recreational and commercial applications. Stock is now available from Advance Trident’s Auckland-based warehouse, servicing New Zealand-wide.
