Fire crews battle blaze at boat manufacturer in Auckland last night

Fire crews from across Auckland have battled a blaze near a boat manufacturer in East Tāmaki overnight.

Fire and Emergency was alerted to the fire shortly after midnight, Thursday morning. The first was behind Lloyd Stevenson Boat Builders. There was no damage at all to their building.

A spokesperson said nine fire trucks, three ladder trucks, and a specialist fire team were sent.

He said the fire was contained within about an hour, but one truck remains at the scene.
