SOFTWARE UPGRADE

A free software update for Simrad® NSO, NSS and GO series displays provides new sonar functionality, sonar enhancements and improvements to the user interface.

The 18.3 update includes support for Active Imaging, StructureScan 3D with Active Imaging enhancements, Dual Mode WiFi and significant improvements to the user interface and enables support for both Active Imaging 3-in-1 and 2-in-1 transducers.

A simplified NSO, NSS and GO series interface, featuring dedicated sonar pages for Echo, SideScan, DownScan Imaging and StructureScan 3D, provides one-touch access. New custom split-screen panel configurations are also available.

With Dual Mode WiFi, users can maintain a WiFi connection to a NSO evo3 or NSS evo3 and still use it as an access point for screen mirroring/remote control from a smartphone or tablet via the Link app. Dual Mode WiFi will be added to GO series displays soon. Amplitude Scope enhancements for NSO evo3/evo2 and NSS evo3/evo2 displays integrate advanced sonar data into the scope. It gives users finer gain control and a greater capacity to tune the sonar display to maximise target detection. The software upgrade includes HALO24 radar support for NSO evo2 displays.
