Weber Marine has successfully secured the build of an Elite 18m Sportfisher for a local owner. Braden Weber and his team are no strangers to the Elite brand, having worked on many when employed at previous yards. The vessel, to be launched early 2021, will be highly customised to suit the experienced owner who is moving up from a smaller production boat.

Equipment will be the latest and greatest with a focus on electronics to assist the client’s passion for fishing. Power will come from twin 800hp engines on conventional shaft drives incorporating shallow tunnels.

Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders (LSB) is well advanced on the hull of a new 18.5m Elite Mid Pilothouse. This new boat shares the same basic hull design as her 18m predecessors. The sheerline and superstructure have been completely redesigned to give the vessel up-todate styling.

No decision has yet been made on power, but around 800hp per side is likely to give a top end performance of 30 knots. The vessel will be finished and equipped to LSB’s usual high standards. www.elitemarine.co.nz www.webermarine.co.nz www.lsb.co.nz
