B&G HALO20+ and HALO20 Radars are compact, lightweight, pulse-compression radome units, designed for smaller sailboats.
Twenty inches in diameter, they weigh 5kg and provide excellent detection with short-range performance. HALO20+, with one of the fastest RPM rotations on the market, can detect targets from a greater distance than HALO20. Delivering a full 360o sweep every second at ranges up to 1.5 nautical miles, ultra-fast updates offer good views for collision avoidance of fast-moving targets.
HALO20+ delivers short-, mid- and long-range detection. Dual Range mode monitors two distance ranges at once, keeping an eye, say, on distant weather cells, while watching for collision hazards nearby. Beam sharpening provides enhanced separation between small or distant targets, while VelocityTrack™ Doppler technology delivers instant feedback on whether targets are coming toward you or moving away. HALO20+ radar automatically checks every target in range with no limit to the number of targets on screen at one time.
