BENETEAU OCEANIS 34.1

THE NEW BENETEAU OCEANIS 34.1 is true to the French boatyard’s motto of ‘Avant-garde in Boating.’

Offering ‘10.80m of Pure Generosity’ the yacht is sleeker, lighter, carries more sail area, and has more space in the bow for the owner’s cabin than its predecessor.

The collaboration between Marc Lombard (naval architecture) and NAUTA Design (deck plan and layouts) in the new Oceanis 34.1 design certainly delivers.

La Rochelle-based architect has drawn a flared hull design that provides greater interior space for a spacious fore cabin, combined with a long chined hull going aft that ensures a high-quality cruising experience.

These choices give this 7th generation of Oceanis yachts a strong identity.  They are remarkable under sail, with slender waterline entries, a lower angle of heel, and a hull resting on the chine for greater comfort on the water.

NAUTA Design has once again delivered an a distinctive style, instantly recognisable even in the smallest details, with layouts that prioritise comfort, user-friendliness, bright interiors and ease of movement.

Life on board with family, or friends new to sailing, is the core focus of all new Oceanis designs.

The Oceanis 34.1 exemplifies this approach, promising to provide safe cruising experiences aboard a boat that is easy to handle.

Sailing is made easy with a  conventional 31m² mainsail and 18m² self-tacking jib. This is a  good configuration for two-handed sailing, or with an inexperienced crew. To keep manoeuvring with ropes to a strict minimum, there is an optional in-mast furling system.

More experienced yachties can opt for rigging packs which include a stemhead for downwind sails, extra winches and a 26m² furling genoa.
