Update at 3:02am:

Emirates Team New Zealand, who were also out on the water today, and Alinghi’s support vessel are alongside Alinghi.
The Alinghi team now has the Fire Pumps out – the boat has taken on a lot of water, the pumps are starting to empty it out now.

Original Report:

Team Alinghi Red Bull Racing was out for practice today (local time Sunday 30 September), it seems the strong winds, which delayed the Louis Vuitton Cup Finals racing on the course, caused Alinghi to tank – they have capcized.

All team members are accounted for and safe.

Update: By 14:00 the boat has been righted.
