An exciting day today in Barcelona with Group A, the America’s Cup teams racing again.
Today will be warm at 25°, and a light but consistent breeze of some 8 knots – that will be enough to get the woman’s America’s cup AC40’s up on their foils, out of the water and at least foiling, if not too quickly.
It will be a 40 cm chop in the ocean, a modest swell, but that will pose an additional challenge to some of the less capable teams.
So tonight we have Luna Rossa coming out again, they were very, very strong on day 1 of the pool racing winning 3 races, then the UK who took one race, then the mid-board group of New Zealand, USA – then France and Switzerland at the bottom.
My guess for tonight, for what its worth – Italy, UK and the Kiwi’s will go through to the Semi-Finals.
