Baglietto Australia anchors at The Boat Works with new strategic office and service hub

Luxury yacht builder Baglietto has established a new foothold in the Southern Hemisphere, opening a prestigious office and service centre at The Boat Works Shipyard on Queensland’s Gold Coast. This move marks a significant expansion for the Italian superyacht brand in the Australia–New Zealand region and positions Baglietto closer to its growing client base in the Pacific.

Under the leadership of Perry James, General Manager of Geoff Lovett International (GLI), Baglietto Australia’s new headquarters is located in the Wharf Building at the heart of the Northern Superyacht Yard. The facility is a major centre for marine services, offering haul-out, refit, repair, and maintenance capabilities for vessels up to 55 metres in length. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure and 22 hectares of dedicated shipyard space, The Boat Works is now home to Baglietto’s regional service and customer support operations.

The new offices reflect the brand’s commitment to personalised, high-end service and reinforce Baglietto’s presence in one of the world’s most dynamic yachting markets. Clients visiting the new location will find the same level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and bespoke service that the Italian brand has delivered for over 165 years.

Fabio Ermetto, Chief Commercial Officer at Baglietto, called the Gold Coast base “absolutely strategic,” noting its dual function as both a regional sales point and a service hub for vessels operating far from the company’s traditional Mediterranean base. A DOM133 model is expected to arrive in Australian waters shortly, signalling Baglietto’s intention to grow its local fleet.

Baglietto will also showcase its offerings at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (May 22–25) and the Sydney Boat Show, which has been rescheduled to November—further reinforcing its commitment to the Australasian market.
