Customise your dream Lagoon catamaran with a new online configuration tool

French catamaran builder Lagoon, part of the Groupe Beneteau family, has taken a big step towards personalising the boat-buying experience with a brand-new online configuration tool. This digital addition to the Lagoon website allows potential buyers to build and visualise their dream catamaran, step by step, right from the comfort of home.

Known globally for its luxurious cruising catamarans, Lagoon has long delivered on comfort, stability, and sustainability. Their boats are designed for long-distance adventures and extended stays on the water, with spacious interiors, clever layouts, and strong performance under sail. The new configurator brings that same user-first focus into the online space.

With just a few clicks, prospective owners can now select from a range of Lagoon’s flagship models and start tailoring their vessel to suit their personal style and cruising needs. The tool currently supports seven models in the Lagoon lineup: the Lagoon 43, Lagoon 46, Lagoon 51, Lagoon 55, Lagoon 60, and the two premium options – the SIXTY 5 and SIXTY 7.

The New Zealand Agent for Lagoon and Excess is the great team at 36degrees; further details for the Lagoon range are available on their website at https://www.36degrees.nz/multihulls/lagoon-catamarans/ and https://www.36degrees.nz/multihulls/lagoon-power-catamarans/.

Once a model is selected, users are guided through a highly intuitive process to configure the finer details of their chosen Lagoon. You start with the general layout – for example, the Lagoon SIXTY 5 offers a choice between 4, 5, or 6 cabins, and various galley placements including central or lateral setups. From there, you move into the interior and exterior styling options. Think cabinetry tones, flooring materials, upholstery fabrics, and wood finishes, all shown in clear, high-quality visuals. Even the flybridge, cockpit, and forward cockpit can be customised with a choice of two ambience packages: “Nomade” for warmer, beige tones or “Pure” for a fresher, light aesthetic.

The process is simple, interactive, and even a bit addictive. You can switch between configurations, try out different colour schemes, and instantly see the results reflected in your virtual catamaran. It’s not just about picking colours, though – this is about getting a feel for what life aboard your future Lagoon could actually look like. For anyone in the market for a cruising catamaran, this tool is a game changer.

Once you’ve completed your configuration, you can review all your choices in one place and then choose to contact a dealer to take the next step. For New Zealand buyers, that means connecting with 36° Brokers, Lagoon’s authorised representative in the region. They’ll help turn your online selections into a real-world catamaran tailored to your specs.

Lagoon has always been about combining innovation and comfort with sailing capability. The brand uses sustainable materials like FSC-certified timber, bio-sourced resins, and recycled fabrics, and is pushing ahead with eco-conscious building techniques such as vacuum infusion moulding. Now, with this new online tool, Lagoon is also leading when it comes to making the yacht buying journey more accessible, more transparent, and much more enjoyable.

Whether you’re actively planning your next big adventure or just dreaming for now, the Lagoon configurator is worth exploring. It’s practical, easy to use, and gives you a hands-on taste of what it might feel like to step aboard your own custom-built catamaran. Try it for yourself on the Lagoon Catamarans website and bring your dream boat to life – virtually, for now. The real thing might be closer than you think.
